To celebrate the release of the ‘The Sound of Bed-Stuy’, Dub-Stuy is releasing a 10-track compilation of music featured in the short documentary, including a few VIP dubplates from the Dub-Stuy archives. Produced by Stept Studios, with support from Smirnoff, The Sound of “Bed-Stuy” is a short film that focuses on sound system culture as a vector of community in the midst of the pandemic.

Featuring a selection of tracks from the label's ten-year deep catalog, this collection is offered as a digital-only soundtrack, presenting a perfectly curated trip through the diversity of soundsystem culture that Dub-Stuy champions and represents. With classics such as Dubamine & Blackout JA's "Nicodemus," Dub-Stuy & Jahdan's anthemic "Absolutely," and Von D's King Tubby-esque “Surrealiste Skank," the compilation plays like a Dub-Stuy retrospective, highlighting the spectrum of sounds and tempos from the label's affiliated producers. As a bonus, the selection features three unreleased dubplates that have been staples of many Dub-Stuy sessions, including a ripping Jungle remix of "Absolutely" and a heavier, deeper dubplate mix of "Surrealiste Skank'' that's sure to shatter your windows.
